I did, and he didn't do anything, believe me, I tried! No big whoop, the code for his speech about the sword didn't come up after I accepted the bring sword to Argas quest, went right into the welcome/sparring/dodge tutorial

I have played through it multiple times, nothing weird happens to me. I have no idea what it is.
My only suggestion would be to do a CTRL+F5 reload of the page (so it reloads the game even if it happens to be cached by the browser) so that the current version is playing. And then just start a new game. Sorry.

I had a problem... I took the quest to bring Argas a sword, before talking to him at all, then he wouldn't attack me while I was countered! When I'd dodge, he'd come at me, but there was no other way to advance the game or get out of sparring with him.
It's okay, I made a new game, and plan to save in different slots.
